Standard In-Ground Installation
The most common and reliable method, the standard in-ground installation sets the flagpole into a concrete foundation with a ground sleeve. This provides maximum stability and is the go-to option for most commercial and residential settings.
Best for: Permanent installations where strength and longevity are top priorities.
Shoe Base Installation
Shoe base flagpoles are mounted on top of a concrete foundation using heavy-duty bolts and a welded steel shoe base plate. This allows for installation on surfaces where digging a deep foundation isn’t possible.
Best for: Paved areas where underground space is limited or on rooftops of concrete buildings
Tilting Shoe Base Installation
A tilting shoe base offers the same secure surface-mount design as a shoe base, but with the added benefit of a built-in hinge. This allows the flagpole to be lowered to the ground for easy maintenance, cleaning, or flag changes without the need for special equipment.
Best for: Locations that require frequent maintenance or where access to the top of the pole is limited such as on a dock or in a tight area.
Vertical Mount Installation
Vertical mount installations secure the flagpole directly to the side of a structure, such as a building or wall, using strong brackets. This option saves ground space while still offering a dramatic display.
